What is a Waratah?
The waratah is the state floral emblem of New South Wales, Australia.
The waratah (Telopea speciosissima) has long been one of Australia's
most admired flowers, and is grown in some areas as a commercial crop
for cut flowers. It was the centerpiece of all bouquets given to gold
medallists at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.
The waratah 'flower' is in fact a head of smaller flowers. The flower is a symbol
of the complete solutions developed by Waratah using data elements and
components derived from a variety of sources.
